Promises Unfulfilled

"Indian cattle trustees, living on the Florida reservations, brought suit through a Jacksonville law firm in 1950 and in the name of all the Indians in Florida.  They sued the United States for $350,000,000.

But the Miccosukee tribe, living off the reservation in the Everglades, said,
"We don't want money.  We want land." (emphasis supplied)
